BlackBerry OS 6.0 for Bold 9700 Users

Some of you might have heard and read about the new BlackBerry OS 6 and the features it offers. You might have been wondering when the new OS will be released for Bold 9700. Recently CrackBerry.com announced that the latest leaked OS version 6.0.0.358 had been released, which should be a better one as compare to the version 6.0.0.344 released earlier this month. Few issues found in earlier release have been fixed, but few are still unsolved:
  • "Side-swiping" tray on home screen (moving from one tray to another) is smoother.
  • RSS feeds in Social Feeds loads faster, but the icon seems to have problems.
  • Booting time is much faster. It takes about less than a minute to boot up.
  • Copy and paste issue when editing contacts is resolved.
  • No more issue in sending text messages after disabling Wi-Fi.
  • Browser loads faster and smoother.
  • T-mobile theme is still not working.
  • Scanning QR code to add contacts in BlackBerry Messenger is still not working.
  • BlackBerry Maps does not show any maps.
  • Cursor issue in BlackBerry Messenger and text messages are still not resolved. Here is the trick to display the cursor: scroll to a particular conversation or message and hit the SHIFT key.
  • Memory leak is still an issue. After completing OS and third-party applications installation, my device storage was left with around 70MB. Within 12 hours, the storage dropped to 21MB! After reboot the device, everything was back to 60-70MB. Not really sure which applications caused the leak.
  • There is a case where the battery suddenly dropped from 40% to 8%.

Triple 'A' holiday ke HK and Macau

Mgkn sebagian dari loe org bakal tanya knapa titlenya gw tulis "Triple A". Begini ceritanya... Di holiday trip kale ini, ada 3 org yg ikutan. Semua namanya diawali dgn huruf "A": Agus, Andy Darwin, dan Andy "cole" Chaurusno.

Selama holiday, masing2 punya tugas tersendiri:
  1. Gw bertugas jd journalist tuk catet semua aktivitas yg kita buat di holiday trip ini, sekaligus jd tukang potret2 dhe. Fotografer yg satu ini punya 2 asisten yg slalu bantuin bawain tripod ke mana2 sekaligus jepret2 foto gw. Kl ga, kasian donk gw ga ada foto sama skali. Sygnya journalist & fotografer yg satu ini agak "hao2" krn 2 kale gagal ambil moment2 fireworks di HK Disneyland & Macau Tower. Pdhl itu salah satu fireworks yg plg bagus yg pernah gw liat secara langsung =(
  2. Cole bertugas jd tour guide kita, tp Darwin blg agak "hao2" jg krn bbrp kale salah baca map. LOL. Emang bener sih. Krn kesalahan fatal yg dia buat, seafood meal kita di Sai Kung melayang dhe (tuk lbh detilnya lg, baca kelanjutannya di kronologi holiday kita). Haha.. *peace bro* Apart from that, big applause and thanks to Cole yg uda susun itinerary HK and Macau kita =)
  3. Darwin bertugas jd translator kita. Since gw & Cole cuma bisa ngomong dan ngerti mandarin dikit2, jd Darwin lah yg kita utus tuk ngomong d mana pun kita berada. Syg translatornya jg krg sempurna krn ga bisa ngomong Cantonese. Terpaksa dhe tiap kale naik taxi tuk balik ke hotel HK ato Macau, kita mesti tunjukin name card ato konci hotel ke taxi drivernya biar unclenya tau kita mao k mana. Kl ga, taxi driver ngomong apa & kita ngomong apa, ga ada yg nyambung. Wakaka...

The Most Insane Thing I've Ever Done!

Have u ever jumped off from the height of 233m above ground level where all skycrappers, vehicles, and people on the ground look very small? That's what I did 11 days ago in Macau. I bungee jumped from Macau Tower's Outdoor Observation Deck at the 61st floor. After I think it thru, what I've done is kinda insane actually. Actually, I thought of trying bungy jump one day, but not from that freaky 233m tall. Haha =D

Anyway, I felt so excited and no fear at all when the crew put and tightened the chest, waist, and ankle harnesses. Since that was my first bungee jump experience, I did actually ask the crew what he felt when he first experienced the bungee jump. He told me it was like you're having a nightmare with your eyes opened. LOL. Though I'd heard that, I was still excited and curious about it. Only the minute before I jumped, when I stood at the edge of the jumping platform and looked down, the fear came and I started to think: "OMG, this is sooo high. Shit shit shit and shittt! bla bla bla..."

And, the moment I heard the crew started counting down "5, 4, 3, 2, and 1", I tried to lean my body as what the crew asked me to do. Once I fell, I screamed and the fear suddenly gone. It was so fast and it only took me about 7-10 seconds to reach the lowest point near to the ground. I guess the speed was about 120-150 km/h.

Jailbreak iPod Touch

You want to have applications and games installed in your iPod Touch device, but you don't know how to do it? No problem, you can easily do it now. What I am going to show here is to jailbreak and install applications in iPod Touch 1G. I do not have the 2G, but the steps are similar to 1G.

There are few things that you need to have before you start. To download the software, just click on the link provided.
  1. iPod Touch Firmware 3.0 (for 1G and 2G),
  2. redsn0w 0.8, and
  3. iTunes 9.
